Differences from this picture: Clearance wands removed (still have them), yellow strobes replaced duct-tape covered blue rotating beacons. Added bumper-mount CB antenna for trail-use. Red paint has chalked a bit.

1964 Mercedes Benz 4WD truck - Unimog Model 404S Hardtop Cab with Box

Camper/steel rear box -

• Box externally and internally repainted

• Box interior panelling and insulation removed to lighten vehicle

• Cargo tiedown eyes

• Box door locks matched to key

• White backup light illuminates effectively for reversing

• Chain boxes and battery box padlocked with matching locks

Mechanicals-

• M180 motor (2.2l)

• Tires are heavy lug tread at about 50% tread (including spare)

• Synthetic gear oils throughout

• New front brake shoes

• All new flex hoses in brake system

• Rebuilt all 4 wheel slave cylinders

• New torque tube boot on front tube

• Synthetic motor oil

• Recent belts, hoses, coolant change

• New (Carter) auxiliary electric fuel pump

• New Mercedes mechanical fuel pump

• New fuel tank selector valve

• Recent valve lash adjustment

• New spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor

Mileage- Truck was delivered to me with 9200 km on odometer which was probably changed with engine overhaul. Engine now has 26,000 km.
